I take time to review your child’s existing IEP or 504 plan, along with any relevant school documents, to help you understand what services, accommodations, and goals are in place — and whether they align with your child’s needs. During the review, I break everything down in parent‑friendly language, highlight areas that may need clarification or adjustment, and help you identify questions to bring to the school team. You’ll receive guidance on how to communicate effectively with the school, how to advocate for appropriate supports, and what steps to take if you feel changes are needed. This service focuses on understanding the plan itself. It is different from Meeting Preparation, which is designed to help you get ready for a specific upcoming school meeting. The IEP/504 Plan Review helps you understand what is currently in place; Meeting Preparation helps you prepare to discuss it with the school team. This review ensures you feel informed, confident, and prepared for any next steps in your child’s educational journey.
